BPFI – Personal Current Account Opening July Update

July update show some 297,000 personal current accounts opened by BPFI members to date in 2022

  • About 71, 000 PCAs were opened in the four weeks ending 8 July.

BPFI members opened some 297,000 personal current accounts (PCAs) in 2022 up to 8 July.

On average, about 11,000 PCA were opened each week. The number of PCAs continued to grow through June and into early July. About 71,000 PCAs were opened in the four weeks ending 8 July, up from 56,000 in the previous four weeks and more than double the total in the four weeks ending 15 April.
