Thursday 20th February 2025 – Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) warmly welcomes today’s launch of Ireland’s first National Financial Literacy Strategy by Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe T.D., along with the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2025 Action Plan.
Speaking on its publication, Brian Hayes, Chief Executive, BPFI said: “BPFI and its members very much welcome the launch of today’s Strategy which is a significant milestone in advancing financial literacy, education and wellbeing for all consumers. In particular, we would like to acknowledge and commend the extensive collaborative work undertaken by the Department of Finance in the development of the strategy, a process in which we were actively engaged. This work has resulted in the delivery of a comprehensive and cohesive framework to empower and support consumers and communities in their financial wellbeing and resilience.”
